4 Steps to Getting Our Indoor Air Quality Monitors
Step 1: Initial Site Assessment
Before we begin, our team will set up an appointment with the client to perform a thorough site survey of the office environment to identify key areas where air quality monitoring is critical, such as:
• high-traffic areas
• enclosed spaces
• areas with known pollutants or poor ventilation
During the survey, we will plan the placement of uHoo Aura sensors strategically to full coverage of all 13 critical environmental parameters—including temperature, humidity, particulate matter, formaldehyde, and VOCs.
We also consider any necessary customisations for specific pollutants, like nitrogen dioxide or ozone, depending on the unique needs of your office setting.
Step 2: Installation & Positioning
Next, our team will carefully install the uHoo Aura sensors following recommended guidelines.
To ensure accurate sampling of the air the occupants breathe, we place the sensors at a height of 3 to 6 feet above the ground. We position them at least 5 meters away from windows, doors, air purifiers, and diffusers to avoid skewed readings.
In space-constrained areas, we ensure the sensors are closer to air returns than diffusers for optimal accuracy. Whether secured on walls or placed on stable surfaces like tables, we make sure they are in open spaces with unobstructed airflow.
Step 3: Calibration & Testing
Once the sensors are in place, we proceed to calibrate them according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, ensuring every data point collected is accurate.
We then test the system by monitoring the initial data output to confirm that all sensors are functioning correctly and capturing the necessary environmental parameters.
Step 4: Integration with Management Systems and Ongoing Monitoring
Finally, we will integrate the uHoo Aura sensors with your building’s management system or use the uHoo Business Dashboard for real-time monitoring and data analysis.
Our team will set up alerts and notifications for any air quality parameters that exceed acceptable levels as well as scheduling regular maintenance to keep the sensors functioning at their best.
